KATE LEWIS

At the age of one, Kate won a painting contest at the county fair and hasn't looked back since. That award-winning painting hangs in her studio today. 

Originally from rural Tennessee, Kate has lived in Chicago for almost 20 years. She lives in the heart of Chicago with her husband and four children, with an art studio on the top floor of their home. She often works in the early morning hours to get a few moments of quiet journaling logged before everyone is up for the day. 

Kate’s paintings are in private collections around the world. She has a BA in Painting from Presbyterian College in SC and a MAAE from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Her first illustrated book with Chronicle Books will be available Spring 2021.
